If you are participating in this examination, it is vital to concentrate not only on your studies but also on understanding the essential rules and regulations. A small mistake could prevent you from taking the exam, so ensure you are well-prepared.

Mandatory Items to Bring

You must carry specific essential items to the exam center. First and foremost, a printed copy of your JEE Main 2026 Admit Card is required; entry will be denied without it. Additionally, you need to bring a valid photo ID, such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Voter ID. It is also necessary to fill out and carry the Self-Declaration Form that accompanies the Admit Card. Don't forget to have a passport-sized photograph with you. You are allowed to bring a transparent ballpoint pen and a transparent water bottle. If you are a PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidate, ensure you have your disability certificate.

Prohibited Items

Several items are strictly forbidden in the exam center. Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, and any electronic devices are not allowed. Additionally, bags, purses, wallets, or any extra luggage are prohibited. Study materials, including notes, textbooks, or loose sheets, are also banned. Food and drink items are generally not allowed, although diabetic students may have some exceptions. Avoid wearing metal accessories like chains, rings, or belts, as they may cause delays during security checks.

Exam Schedule

The JEE Main Session 2 will take place from April 2 to April 9, 2026. This examination includes two papers: Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning). With millions of students participating, it is essential to verify the schedule and exam center details in advance.

Dress Code Guidelines

On exam day, opt for simple, light-colored clothing. Half-sleeve garments are generally preferred. Avoid heavy footwear, jackets, or clothing with multiple pockets. Additionally, refrain from wearing metal accessories to ensure a smooth entry process.

Crucial Points for Exam Day

Arriving early on the exam day is crucial. Aim to reach the exam center at least 1.5 to 2 hours before the scheduled time. Latecomers will not be allowed entry, so punctuality is key. Verify that all information on your admit card is correct. Once inside the examination hall, you will not be allowed to leave until the exam is over. Therefore, enter the exam with a calm mindset and attempt the paper without anxiety.
