Initially, the exam was set to take place from January 21 to 30, 2026, but the final date has now been adjusted to January 29, 2026. City Intimation Slip Details
As per the NTA's announcement, candidates can download their JEE Main 2026 Session 1 exam city intimation slip from the official site. To retrieve this slip, candidates need to log in using their application number and date of birth. This document indicates the city where the exam will be conducted but does not provide the full address of the examination center or the roll number.
Clarification on Exam City Slip
The NTA has emphasized that the city slip is not to be confused with the admit card. It serves solely to inform candidates about their exam city ahead of time. The official admit card for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be released later, containing essential details such as the examination center, reporting time, and other important instructions.
Exam Locations
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be administered in various cities throughout India and in 15 international locations. This arrangement facilitates participation for NRI and foreign students, allowing them to take the exam without needing to travel to India.
Updated Exam Schedule
The Paper 1 (BE/BTech) examination is scheduled for January 21, 22, 23, 24, and 28, 2026, with two shifts: the first from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the second from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The exams for Paper 2A (BArch), Paper 2B (BPlanning), and the combined Paper 2A+2B will take place on January 29, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
