Contents of the Scorecard
What Information Will Be Included?
The JEE Main scorecard will feature your total marks along with your NTA percentile score. It will also provide individual percentiles for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as an overall percentile score. Note that the All India Rank (AIR) will not be included in the Session 1 results; it will be announced after the April session (Session 2).
Understanding the Normalization Process
Normalization Explained
Given that the exam is conducted in multiple shifts, the difficulty level may differ across sessions. To address this, the NTA employs a normalization method, ensuring that no student is unfairly impacted by a more challenging paper, thus maintaining a level playing field.
Registration for Session 2
Students who are dissatisfied with their Session 1 scores or who missed the first session can register for Session 2. The deadline for registration is February 25, 2026. The top 250,000 candidates nationwide will qualify to take the JEE Advanced exam, which grants access to IITs.
Candidates who do not qualify in JEE Main Session 1 are also eligible to participate in Session 2. The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exams will occur in multiple shifts from April 2 to April 9, 2026. City allotment slips and admit cards will be issued a few weeks prior to the exam. It is crucial for candidates to download their admit cards and verify all exam details, including date, time, and venue.
