The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has officially published the full schedule for the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2026 (JEE Advanced 2026). This exam serves as the crucial entry point for B.Tech and various undergraduate engineering programs across all IITs in India, making this announcement vital for those who have been diligently preparing.

Registration Timeline

When does registration start?


The registration process for JEE Advanced 2026 will commence in April 2026. Candidates who successfully qualify in JEE Main 2026 can register online from April 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM until May 2, 2026, at 11:59 PM. For foreign nationals, as well as OCI and PIO candidates, the application window will be open from April 6, 2026, to May 2, 2026.


It is essential to pay the examination fee during the application process. The deadline for fee payment is May 4, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Applications will be deemed invalid if the fee is not paid within the stipulated time.


Admit Card Availability

When can candidates download the admit card?


Candidates will be able to download their JEE Advanced 2026 admit cards starting May 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The download window will remain open until May 17, 2026, at 2:30 PM. It is crucial for candidates to have their admit cards, as entry to the examination center will not be allowed without it. Therefore, students are advised to download and print their admit cards well in advance.


Exam Structure

How will the exam be structured?


The JEE Advanced 2026 will consist of two papers conducted on the same day:



  • Paper-1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

  • Paper-2: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM


Candidates must attempt both papers to be eligible for ranking. Those who only take one paper will not be considered for the final ranking. The question papers will be available in both Hindi and English.


Eligibility Criteria

Who is eligible to take JEE Advanced 2026?


Eligibility for JEE Advanced 2026 is limited to candidates who rank within the top 2.5 lakh in JEE Main 2026. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE Main 2026 in two sessions: the first from January 21 to January 30, 2026, and the second from April 1 to April 10, 2026.
