Scholarship Details

Understanding the NMMS Scholarship

Launched in 2008 by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), the National Means Cum Eligibility Scholarship aims to assist economically disadvantaged yet talented students. Previous Year Statistics

In the previous year, 2,348 students applied for the examination from the district, with 2,199 actually taking the test. Out of those, 143 students were selected and are currently receiving Rs 1,000 monthly from the department.

This scholarship is exclusively for students currently in class 8. Those selected will benefit from the scholarship from class 9 to class 12. Additionally, the annual family income of applicants must not exceed Rs 3.30 lakh, ensuring support for economically weaker yet deserving students.

Exam Schedule

The Haryana NMMS Scholarship Exam is set for November 30, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM. Students can download their admit cards from the official Haryana Board of School Education website approximately 10 days prior to the exam.
