GATE 2027 Registration: Candidates gearing up for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027 should take note of the latest updates. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has unveiled the timeline for GATE 2027. The online registration will commence on August 14, 2026. Interested individuals can submit their applications through the official website, gate2027.iitm.ac.in.
Key Dates for GATE 2027:
1. Online registration starts: August 14, 2026
2. Final date to apply without late fee: September 21, 2026
3. Last date to apply with late fee: September 30, 2026
4. Application correction period: October 14 to 21, 2026
5. Examination dates: February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027
6. Results announcement: March 19, 2027
Documents Required for Application:
While IIT Madras has yet to publish a comprehensive list of required documents, candidates should prepare the following based on previous years' processes:
1. Recent passport-sized color photograph
2. Scanned signature
3. Valid photo ID (Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License)
4. Academic records (marksheets/degrees or proof of current studies)
5. Reservation category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS), if applicable
6. PwD certificate, if applicable
7. Banking/UPI details for online fee payment

New Features in GATE 2027:
This year, IIT Madras is in charge of organizing GATE 2027. A new subject, 'Robotics and Automation' (RA), will be included in the exam for the first time. Furthermore, the syllabus has been updated after five years, although the exam format will remain the same.
