Exam Dates Announced for Stenographer and Combined Hindi Translator Exams 2025

Announcement of Exam Dates

The Staff Selection Commission has officially released the exam dates for the Stenographer Grade 'C' and 'D' exams, as well as the Combined Hindi Translator Examination for 2025. Candidates can find essential details regarding the exams on the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in. According to the schedule published by the commission, the Stenographer exams are set to take place on August 6, 7, and 8, 2025, while the Combined Hindi Translator Examination will be conducted on August 12, 2025.

Recruitment Details

The Staff Selection Commission will fill a total of 261 positions through the Stenographer Grade 'C' and 'D' exams. Different time limits have been set for transcription in this recruitment process. Candidates taking the Group D exam will have 50 minutes for English and 65 minutes for Hindi, while Group C candidates will have 40 minutes for English and 55 minutes for Hindi.


Additionally, the Combined Hindi Translator Examination will recruit for approximately 437 positions. This includes roles such as Junior Translation Officer, Junior Hindi Translator, Senior Translator, and Hindi Translators in Central Forces, among others.


Exam Pattern

The computer-based exam will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions covering three main subjects: General Intelligence, General Awareness, and English Language and Comprehension. Each correct answer will earn 1 point, while incorrect answers will incur a penalty of 0.25 points. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours, and it will be available in both Hindi and English.


It is important to note that the SSC JHT Paper 1 will consist of multiple-choice questions, with 100 questions each from General English and General Hindi. Candidates who qualify in the first paper will be called for Paper 2, which will assess their translation and essay writing skills in both Hindi and English.
