Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2025 Overview
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the opening of applications for 7,565 positions in the Delhi Police Constable Recruitment 2025, welcoming both male and female applicants.
Application Details
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals aspiring to join the Delhi Police. The recruitment notification has been officially released, targeting a total of 7,565 Constable (Executive) roles. If you have completed your 12th grade and are interested in a career in law enforcement, this is your chance.
The application window is currently open and will remain so until October 21, 2025. Candidates must submit their fees by October 22, 2025. Additionally, there will be a correction window for applications from October 29 to 31, 2025.
Breakdown of Positions
The recruitment includes 5,069 positions for men and 2,496 for women. Specific allocations are as follows:
- 4,408 positions for male candidates
- 285 for ex-servicemen
- 376 for ex-servicemen (commandos)
The distribution of positions across categories is as follows:
- 3,174 for General category
- 756 for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)
- 1,608 for Other Backward Classes (OBC)
- 1,386 for Scheduled Castes (SC)
- 641 for Scheduled Tribes (ST)
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Delhi Police Constable recruitment, candidates must have completed their 12th grade. However, for specific roles such as bandsman, bugler, mounted constable, driver, and sons of police officers, an 11th-grade pass is acceptable.
Male applicants must hold a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license, which includes motorcycles and cars. The age limit for candidates is set between 18 and 25 years as of July 1, 2025, with relaxations available for reserved categories as per government guidelines.
Selection Process
The selection will occur in three phases:
- Computer Based Written Test (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT) followed by a medical examination
The written test will consist of 100 questions, with a scoring system of 1 mark per question. The breakdown of topics is as follows:
- General Knowledge: 50 questions
- Reasoning: 25 questions
- Numerical Ability: 15 questions
- Computer Knowledge: 10 questions
Note that there will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for incorrect answers.
Physical Test Requirements
Physical test criteria are as follows:
- Male candidates must complete a 1600-meter run in 6 minutes, a long jump of 14 feet, and a high jump of 3.9 feet.
- Female candidates must finish a 1600-meter run in 8 minutes, a long jump of 10 feet, and a high jump of 3 feet.
Bonus Points for NCC Certificate Holders
Candidates with NCC certificates can earn additional points:
- NCC C certificate: 5% extra points
- NCC B certificate: 3% extra points
- NCC A certificate: 2% extra points
Salary Structure
Selected candidates will receive a Level-3 salary, which ranges from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100.
Application Fee Details
An application fee is required for this recruitment process. The fee is ₹100 for General and OBC male candidates, while women, SC/ST candidates, and eligible ex-servicemen are exempt from the fee.
