New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made a significant announcement for candidates aspiring to become teachers. The board is set to initiate the application process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2026), with the exam date now officially released. When Will the CTET Exam Take Place?

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be conducted on Sunday, February 8, 2026. The registration process for CTET 2026 will commence shortly.


CTET Exam Application Fee

Candidates wishing to register for the exam should have their scanned photographs and signatures ready. They will also need to provide information such as state and identification type. The application fee is set at ₹1,000 for one paper, while those applying for both papers will need to pay ₹1,200.


How to Register for the CTET Exam?

Step 1: Visit the official CTET website at https://ctet.nic.in


Step 2: Click on the 'Apply Online' link and open it.


Step 3: Fill out the online application form and note your registration/application number.


Step 4: Upload your latest scanned photograph and signature.


Step 5: Pay the exam fee using a debit/credit card or net banking.


Step 6: Print the confirmation page for your records and future reference.


The CTET will be conducted in two sessions: Paper-I and Paper-II. This exam will be held in 132 cities across the country in 20 languages.
