The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for 2027 is scheduled for December 6, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This examination will be conducted in offline mode at various locations nationwide.


Registration Details for CLAT 2027

The Consortium of National Law Universities has initiated the online application process for CLAT. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website until October 31, 2026. Admission to more than 60 institutions, including 24 National Law Universities, will be determined by CLAT 2027 scores.


Exam Schedule and Format

The CLAT 2027 exam will take place in a single shift on December 6, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The exam will be conducted in offline mode across various centers in the country. The Consortium has confirmed that there will be no alterations to the exam syllabus or format this year.


Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2027

Candidates wishing to apply for the undergraduate law program must have completed Class 12 from a recognized board, achieving at least 45% marks for General, OBC, and EWS categories, and 40% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. For the postgraduate program, an LLB degree is required, with a minimum of 50% marks for General, OBC, and NRI candidates, and 45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. Final-year students are also eligible to apply.


Application Fees and Required Documents

The application fee for candidates from General, OBC, PwD, NRI, and OCI categories is ₹4,000, while SC, ST, and BPL candidates need to pay ₹3,500. Applicants must prepare specific documents before completing the online application, including a passport-sized photograph, a scanned signature, and a caste certificate. All documents should be uploaded in the required format during the application process.
