CBSE Unveils Updated Schedule for 2026 Class 10 and 12 Board Exams

Revised Examination Timetable Released

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a new timetable for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for 2026. The exams originally set for March 3, 2026, have been postponed due to administrative issues. CBSE stated, "The examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 that were planned for March 3, 2026, have been rescheduled for administrative reasons." According to the updated schedule, the Class 10 exam will now take place on March 11, 2026, while the Class 12 exam is set for April 10, 2026. Students can access and download the revised timetable from the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in.

Schedule for Regional and Foreign Language Papers

The new timetable indicates that the Class 10 regional and foreign language papers, including Tibetan, Bhoti, Bhutia, Bodo, Tangkhul, Mizo, Kashmiri, German, Japanese, Spanish, and Bahasa Melayu, will be conducted on March 11. Additionally, the Class 12 Legal Studies paper is scheduled for April 10. Notably, the Class 10 exams will be held in two phases next year, starting from February 17 and concluding on July 15, 2026. The Class 12 exams will also commence on February 17.

Class 12 Exam New Schedule

• Class 12 exams will take place from February 17 to April 9, conducted in two shifts - from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM and from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Key dates for main subjects include:
