CBSE Reopens CTET Application Window for February 2026 Exam

Candidates who registered by the December 18 deadline but did not complete their applications can now do so by December 30, 2025. CTET Application Window Reopened



The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the reopening of the application process for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) scheduled for February 2026. Candidates who registered by the initial deadline of December 18 but were unable to finalize their applications can now do so by tomorrow, December 30, 2025.


Incomplete Applications Overview


As per the notification from CBSE, a total of 25,30,581 candidates had submitted applications for the CTET 2026 exam. On December 17, 3,53,218 applications were recorded, followed by 4,14,981 on December 18. However, 1,61,127 candidates registered but did not complete their applications. These individuals are now granted an additional chance to finalize their forms by December 30.


How to Complete the Application


To finalize the CTET Application Form for 2026, follow these steps:


1. Visit the official website at ctet.nic.in.


2. On the homepage, find the section labeled LATEST NEWS and click on "Click to proceed: One-time facility for completing application (27/12/2025 to 30/12/2025)."


3. Enter your login credentials.


4. Fill in the necessary details to complete your application.


5. Submit the form along with the required fee.


6. Print a copy for your records.


Application Fees


Candidates must pay ₹1000 for one paper and ₹1200 for both papers when completing the CTET 2026 application. For candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, the fees are ₹500 for one paper and ₹600 for both. Payments can be made online. The CTET exam (Papers 1 and 2) is set to take place on February 8, 2026, at various examination centers nationwide, conducted in two shifts. Admit cards will be available for download shortly before the exam date.
