The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a crucial advisory for educational institutions regarding the academic year 2025–26. The board has emphasized that any errors in submitting student information for the mandatory List of Candidates (LOC) will incur additional fees for corrections. Schools are urged to be meticulous when entering these details, as inaccuracies could adversely affect students during their Class 10 and Class 12 board exams.

Details Required in the LOC

As per the official notice, the data submitted in the LOC must align precisely with the student admission records held by the school. This includes:



  • Correct spelling of names


  • Accurate date of birth


  • Proper subject codes



The board cautioned that any discrepancies could lead to significant complications at examination centers. CBSE aims to prevent students from facing challenges during exams due to easily avoidable mistakes made at the school level.
