The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the registration process for students with special needs (CWSN) for the upcoming 2026 board exams. Schools can apply through the Exam Sangam portal until September 22, 2025. This initiative aims to ensure that students receive the necessary accommodations during their examinations. The registration process includes a detailed SOP for schools to follow, ensuring that all required facilities are available for CWSN students. This step is part of CBSE's commitment to providing equal educational opportunities and support for disabled students.

Registration for CWSN Students

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced the registration process for students with special needs (CWSN) who will be taking the class 10 and 12 board exams in 2026. Schools can submit applications via the Exam Sangam portal until September 22, 2025, ensuring that these students receive the necessary accommodations.

According to the board's announcement, the registration period is set from September 9 to September 22, 2025. Schools must apply through the designated CWSN web portal if any CWSN student wishes to utilize the facilities or exemptions offered during the exams.

School Responsibilities

CBSE has instructed all schools to submit their applications promptly to facilitate the necessary arrangements for students with special needs at examination venues. A detailed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been provided to assist schools in completing the application process effectively.

Document Submission via Exam Sangam Portal

Schools nationwide are required to register through the "Pariksha Sangam Portal." They must log in using their credentials to access the CWSN module, which contains the names of students already identified as CWSN.

The portal will also provide a list of available facilities tailored to each student's disability. If a student wishes to access these accommodations, the school must select the appropriate option, which will then be reflected on the student's admit card.

Ensuring Accessibility

This initiative aims to guarantee that examination centers can adequately prepare for students with special needs, preventing any inconvenience during the exams. The board emphasizes that this measure is designed to promote equal educational opportunities and support students with disabilities.
