CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Practical Exams Schedule for 2026 Released
Overview of CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Practical Exams 2026
Schedule Announcement: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has unveiled the timetable for the Class 12 supplementary practical exams for the year 2026. These practical assessments will take place from July 29 to August 4, 2026, covering all academic streams.
Students who need to participate in these exams should reach out to their respective schools or designated examination centers by July 27, 2026. Prior to the practical exams, the supplementary theory exams are scheduled for July 28, 2026, with an anticipated turnout of over 250,000 students.
Eligibility for Practical Exams
Who Needs to Appear?
This schedule is specifically for students classified by the Board as 'Repeat Practical' (RP) or 'Repeat in Both Theory and Practical' (RB).
Students in the RP category are only required to take the practical exam, as their theory marks from previous attempts will be retained. Conversely, those in the RB category must retake both the theory and practical exams.
Exam Arrangements for Students
Separate Arrangements for Regular and Private Students:
Regular students will conduct their practical exams at their respective schools, while private students must attend the supplementary examination center assigned by the Board.
If a specific laboratory necessary for a subject is not available at a designated examination center, the regional office will arrange for the exam to be held at a nearby school or center.
External Examiners and Mark Submission
Appointment of External Examiners:
The Board has mandated that all regional offices appoint external examiners for the practical assessments. Schools and examination centers are no longer permitted to select external examiners independently; they can only nominate internal examiners from their teaching staff.
Mark Submission Requirements:
CBSE has emphasized that practical exam marks must be uploaded to the Board's official website on the same day as the examination. Once submitted, no changes or corrections to these marks will be allowed.
Required Documents for the Exam
What to Bring:
Students are required to carry the following documents when attending the practical examination:
- Admit card
- A copy of the mark sheet or result
Additionally, schools are instructed to promptly inform students about the date and time of their practical exams and to coordinate with regional offices to ensure a smooth examination process.
