Overview of the CBSE Class 10 Phase 2 Exam



The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the timetable for the Class 10 Phase 2 examinations, which will take place from May 15 to June 1, 2026. This phase is specifically for students who participated in the first phase of exams.

Exam Dates and Subjects

The first exam, Mathematics (Standard/Basic), is scheduled for May 15, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The English exam will follow on May 16.


Exam Schedule:



  1. May 15, 2026 – Mathematics (Standard/Basic)


  2. May 16, 2026 – English (Communicative and Language & Literature)


  3. May 18, 2026 – Science


  4. May 19, 2026 – Various Languages (Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, etc.)


  5. May 20, 2026 – Skill-based and Optional Subjects (Sanskrit, IT, etc.)


  6. May 21, 2026 – Social Science



Eligibility Criteria for Phase 2 Exams

Students who took the first phase of exams and wish to enhance their scores or those who received a 'Compartment' in any subject are eligible for the Phase 2 exams. However, students who missed three or more subjects in the first phase cannot participate.


Exam Timing Details

Most exams will start at 10:30 AM and end at 1:30 PM, while some subjects will conclude at 12:30 PM. Students should check their specific exam timings to avoid any issues on the exam day.
