CBSE Clarifies Post-Results Procedures for Class 12 Exams Amid Technical Issues
Important Update from CBSE
CBSE Announcement: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a crucial update concerning the procedures following the Class 12 examination results for the 2021-22 academic year. An official notice issued on May 24, 2026, highlighted that technical issues were encountered while processing requests for scanned copies of answer sheets. As a result, there were inconsistencies in fee deductions for numerous students. Some students were charged more than the required amount, while others faced lower charges due to system errors.
The Board has assured that students who were overcharged will receive a refund of the excess amount through the same payment method used for the original transaction (such as UPI or Card). Those who were undercharged will be informed separately about how to pay the remaining balance. Additionally, all affected students will receive their scanned answer sheets without needing to submit a new application.
CBSE Warning on Fake Circulars
In a recent "Fake News Alert" shared on its official social media platforms, CBSE has urged students and parents to stay alert. The Board reported that a fraudulent circular is being widely circulated online, falsely stating that the processes for obtaining answer sheet copies and re-evaluation have been suspended due to technical issues.
CBSE has firmly denied this claim, labeling it as completely unfounded. The Board emphasized that the circular is fake and advised students not to believe such rumors. In its social media message, CBSE stated: "Beware of fake news and rumors. Always verify information through the official CBSE website."
