CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that students will be permitted to take the CBSE Board Exam 2026 without needing an Apaar ID. This decision comes as a relief for students, as the board has acknowledged the technical difficulties faced in generating these IDs.

Schools reported various technical and administrative issues that hindered the creation of Apaar IDs, prompting CBSE to allow the submission of student lists without these IDs. This change is particularly beneficial for students planning to study abroad, who were previously encountering significant obstacles.

Background of the Issue

In response to the concerns raised by schools, CBSE has decided to grant a partial exemption regarding the Apaar ID requirement. Schools can now submit a List of Candidates (LOC) for the board exams of Class 10 and Class 12 students, even if the Apaar IDs are marked as ‘rejected’ or ‘not created’.
