Important Information for Candidates: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the exam center details for the 71st Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination. Candidates can access this information on the official BPSC website. The examination is scheduled for September 13 and will take place at various locations throughout the state. Below are the key guidelines issued by the commission for candidates participating in the exam.
Exam Process and Eligibility
Only those candidates who successfully clear the preliminary exam will qualify for the main examination, and those passing the mains will proceed to the interview stage. Detailed information regarding the exam center code and name is now available on the candidates' dashboards. The e-admit card will display the full name and address of the assigned examination center.
Exam Timing
Schedule for BPSC 71st Prelims: The exam will be held in a single session from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Candidates can enter the examination center starting at 9:30 AM, but entry will be strictly prohibited after 11:00 AM.
All candidates are advised to arrive at least one hour prior to the exam time. The commission emphasizes that candidates should be at the center by 11:00 AM, as the gates will close thereafter. Approximately 470,528 candidates are expected to participate across 912 centers in 37 districts.
Guidelines for Candidates
Mandatory Rules: Candidates must complete a declaration form available on the BPSC website, which should include a recent color photograph attested by a gazetted officer. Signatures in both Hindi and English are required.
A color passport-size photograph, also attested by a gazetted officer, must be affixed to the e-admit card.
It is essential to bring a valid photo ID, such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, or driving license, as specified in the online application.
Entry to the exam will only be permitted after verification of these documents by the center superintendent.
Note that carrying any electronic devices, including mobile phones, is strictly prohibited.
