Last month, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the results for the Matric (10th) and Intermediate (12th) board exams. Following this, they have now extended the application deadline for the Intermediate Special and Compartmental Examinations 2026. Students can submit their applications for the compartmental exams until April 6. Applications must be processed through the respective schools.
The fee structure for the compartmental examination is set at ₹150 for the application and ₹260 for the examination itself. However, students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), or those under the Regular Category with international backgrounds are exempt from the examination fee. The BSEB has emphasized that all applications should be submitted via schools only.
Students who did not pass the Bihar Board Class 12 exams or those aiming to improve their scores in specific subjects are eligible to apply for the compartmental examination. The Class 12 exams were conducted from February 2 to February 13, 2026, with results announced on March 23 at 1:30 PM.

1. Visit the official BSEB website (this will be managed by the school administration).
2. Click on the link for the ‘Compartmental Examination’ application.
3. Fill in the required details, including your Roll Code and Roll Number.
4. Pay the necessary fee and submit the application.
**Expected Dates for the Compartmental Examination**
While the BSEB has not yet confirmed the specific dates for the compartmental examination, it is anticipated that the schedule will be released soon. In the meantime, students are encouraged to begin their studies and address any mistakes made during their previous attempts.
Overview of Bihar Board Class 12 Results
This year, the pass rate for the Bihar Board Class 12 examination was 85.19%. The pass percentage for boys was recorded at 84.09%, while girls achieved a higher rate of 86.23%. Notably, Aditya Prakash from Samastipur topped the Science stream, Aditi Kumari from Patna led the Commerce stream, and Nishu Kumari from Gaya excelled in the Arts stream.
