Bihar's Major Recruitment Drive

The Bihar government has released a notification for the recruitment of 4,654 candidates for various roles, including junior engineers, work inspectors, dental hygienists, and hostel managers.

This is excellent news for the youth in Bihar. Following announcements from the BSSC and BPSC, the Bihar Technical Services Commission (BTSC) has unveiled significant job openings. The recruitment will cover four key sectors, with a total of 4,654 positions available. The application window will open on October 10, 2025, and close on November 10, 2025. Interested applicants can submit their applications online through the BTSC's official website, btsc.bihar.gov.in.

The majority of the vacancies are for junior engineers, with 2,747 positions available. Additionally, there are 1,114 openings for work inspectors, 702 for dental hygienists, and 91 for hostel managers.

The junior engineer roles encompass civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering, with allocations of 2,591 for civil, 86 for electrical, and 70 for mechanical engineering.

Recruitment for hostel managers will focus on schools and hostels under the Jananayak Karpuri Thakur Hostel and the Other Backward Classes Welfare Hostel. Candidates must possess a B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration or a graduate/postgraduate diploma in hotel management. The age requirement is between 21 and 37 years, with a pay scale set at Level 4 of the Seventh Pay Commission.

For the work inspector role, candidates need to have completed matriculation and hold a certificate in draftsman, civil, surveyor, or plumber trades from a recognized ITI. The age limit for applicants is 18 to 37 years.

Candidates applying for the dental hygienist position must have completed 10+2 with Biology and possess a 2-year diploma in dental hygiene from an accredited institution. Registration with the Bihar State Dental Council is also required. The age limit is 18 to 37 years, with a pay scale of ₹5200-20200 plus a Grade Pay of ₹2400.

The application fees differ by category: ₹500 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, and ₹250 for SC/ST candidates.

The entire application process will be conducted online. Candidates should visit the official BTSC website to register for a new position. After logging in, they will need to complete the required details and upload necessary documents. Payment of the application fee must be made online, and a printout of the application should be retained after submission.
