Yesterday, on April 14th, Anna University announced the results of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2023. Students can access their results by visiting the official website at tancet.annauniv.edu. The exam was conducted on March 25th and 26th at various exam centers.

Students who have cleared the exam are now eligible to apply for admission to various university departments and institutions. The minimum eligibility score for admission will be specified by the respective universities and colleges in their official result notifications. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) in Tamil Nadu will now oversee the counselling process for enrollment in PG programmes offered by government and government-aided colleges (engineering, arts, and science colleges), self-financing colleges (engineering, arts, and science colleges including stand-alone institutions), the constituent institutions of Anna University, and Annamalai University in the state.

For candidates who have cleared the exam, it is important to download and preserve their TANCET 2023 mark sheet, which will be available for download for less than 20 days. Additionally, candidates should keep an eye on the official website to stay updated on the counselling schedule, registration, document verification, seat allotment process, and dates.

It is recommended that candidates keep all necessary documents ready for verification purposes during the counselling process. Once the counselling process is announced, candidates should note the date, time, and venue for counselling and participate in the process as per the schedule and venue. It is important to note that requests to change the schedule will not be approved by the counselling authorities.

Candidates should also check the previous years' TANCET cut-off to estimate the college they may get admission to and prepare accordingly. Once the seat allotment order is released, candidates must check their seat allotment and take admission at the earliest by paying the requisite fee and completing other admission formalities within the deadline to avoid missing the admission opportunity. It is also recommended to have a backup plan in case admission to the desired college is not possible. This may include applying to private B-schools or appearing for other MBA entrance exams.
