West Bengal HS examination 2024 schedule announced, to be conducted from Feb 16 to 29 

The West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has recently unveiled the academic calendar for the 2024 session. According to the released schedule, the class 12 board examinations will commence on February 16 and conclude on February 29.

According to the released schedule, the class 12 board examinations will commence on February 16 and conclude on February 29. As for class 10, the exams will start on February 2 and end on February 12. Notably, the timing of the board exams will be altered starting from the upcoming academic year. In previous years, the WB board exams were held from 10 am to 1 pm, but in 2024, the examination period will be from 12 noon to 3 pm. These exams will be conducted in a single shift, and students will be given a 15-minute reading period before writing their answers.

The West Bengal Board Examination has also announced the exam schedule for class 10. The subjects and corresponding dates are as follows:

  • February 2, 2024: First language
  • February 3, 2024: Second language
  • February 5, 2024: History
  • February 6, 2024: Geography
  • February 8, 2024: Mathematics
  • February 9, 2024: Life Science
  • February 10, 2024: Physical Science
  • February 12, 2024: Optional elective subject

The exam dates for physical education, social service, and work education subjects will be released by the West Bengal Examination authorities at a later date. On another note, the West Bengal Board has announced the results for the class 12 students of the 2022-2023 session. This year, 89.25% of students have successfully passed the HS exams. Shubrangshu Sarkar from Narendrapur has achieved the first rank, securing an impressive score of 496 out of 500, which accounts for 99.2 percent. In the board examination, two students, namely Sushma Khan and Abu Sama, have secured the second rank. The third rank has been obtained by four students: Chandrabindu Maity, Anusua Saha, Piyali Das, and Shreya Mallik. Srijita Basak, Narendranath Banerjee, and Prerona Pal have secured the fourth rank.

To check their results online, students can visit the official websites wbchse.wb.gov.in and wbresults.nic.in and enter their roll number. The pass percentage among boys in the West Bengal class 12 results has increased to 91.86 percent, compared to the previous year's 90.19 percent. Notably, 18 out of the 87 students in the top 10 rank list are from the Hooghly district. In terms of overall performance, students from East Midnapore district have achieved the highest pass rate of 95.75 percent. Students who wish to request a review and scrutiny of their answer scripts can do so online from May 31 to June 15.
