The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has scheduled the counselling for Defence Quota seats under WBJEE 2024. This is a crucial opportunity for eligible candidates to secure a seat under the Defence Quota in the state’s prestigious engineering institutions.

Seats Available Under Defence Quota

The Defence Quota for WBJEE 2024 counselling includes:

• Total Seats: 13
  • Government Engineering & Technology Colleges: 11 seats
  • Jadavpur University: 2 seats

Eligibility and Selection

• Candidates Selected: Out of 116 candidates nominated by the Rajya Sainik Board, Home Department, Government of West Bengal, 50 have been selected for the counselling.
• Domicile Criteria: Candidates must meet the domicile criteria to benefit from the Defence Quota reservation.

Counselling Process

Candidates must be physically present on the day of counselling with all necessary documents. Counselling will be conducted based on the General Merit Ranks (GMRs) of the candidates.
