Details: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced the release of the certificate for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. Applications for the UPTET Online Form were accepted from 27 March 2026 to 03 May 2026. The examination took place on 02, 03, and 04 July 2026. Class Eligibility
Primary Level Teachers (Class 1 to 5)



  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an NCTE-recognized institution along with a valid teacher training qualification such as BTC, B.El.Ed, or equivalent. Final-year candidates are also eligible. Generally, a minimum of 50% marks in graduation or the relevant training program is required.
Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6 to 8)



  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% in some cases as per rules) from an NCTE-recognized institution along with a valid teacher training qualification such as B.Ed, BTC, B.El.Ed, or equivalent. Final-year candidates of these courses are also eligible. Additionally, candidates with specialized education qualifications (like Special Education) from RCI-recognized institutes are eligible. In some cases, candidates with 50% marks in intermediate and a 4-year integrated teaching program can also apply.
