UPSC Civil Services Exam Results Announced


The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the merit list for the Civil Services Final Examination. Anuj Agnihotri has secured the top position in the UPSC CSE Exam 2026. Hailing from Rajasthan, Anuj achieved this remarkable feat, while Rajeshwari Suve M and Akanksha Dhull claimed the second and third ranks, respectively. According to the commission, a total of 958 candidates successfully passed the examination, with results announced on Friday, March 6. The official notice indicates that these candidates have been recommended for appointments in various central services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others in Group A and Group B.


Who is Anuj Agnihotri?

Anuj Agnihotri is from Rawatbhata, a small town near Kota in Rajasthan. He completed his primary education there before moving to Jodhpur for higher studies. Anuj earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur, and subsequently completed his internship. Instead of pursuing a medical career, he opted for an administrative path. Previously, Anuj joined DANICS, which is part of the Central Civil Services (Group B) administrative division.


Anuj's Journey to Success

After five attempts, Anuj successfully cleared the UPSC CSE exam. In an Instagram post, he expressed his disbelief, stating, "Oh God, I can't believe it. God is great. After six years of hard work, it finally paid off. Achieved AIR 1 in my fifth attempt." He also acknowledged the support of his parents and teachers, saying, "Thank you to my mom, dad, and all my teachers."
