2. Examination Scheduled for November 5 The NMMS examination for Uttar Pradesh is scheduled to take place on November 5. The state has been allocated a quota of 15,143 scholarship seats, signifying the significant impact this initiative can have on students' lives.
3. District-wise Application Statistics An official source has provided insights into the district-wise distribution of applications. The top three districts with the highest number of applicants are Aligarh (11,221), Prayagraj (8,701), and Jaunpur (5,886). Conversely, Shravasti, Hapur, and Lalitpur are the bottom three districts, with 521, 635, and 645 applications, respectively.
4. Meeting Quota Requirements Authorities had instructed all districts to ensure that they received applications numbering 15 times the quota of seats allocated to them. - Parental Income: Not exceeding Rs 3,50,000 per annum
- Minimum Marks: A minimum of 55 percent marks in class 7 (with a 5 percent relaxation for SC/ST students)
- Regular Enrollment: Students must be regular students in class 8
It's essential to note that students from Navodaya schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, government residential schools, Sanik schools, and private schools are not eligible for this scholarship.
