UP Police Recruitment: Important things to do before filling the application form
The Uttar Pradesh Police (UP Police) is set to embark on a massive recruitment drive, offering a staggering number of vacancies. UP Police is expected to release a notification for approximately 62,424 posts. While the official notification regarding the commencement of the application process is yet to be announced, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has taken a significant step to streamline the application process for candidates. Here's what candidates need to do before filling out the application form.
Mandatory Pre-application Registration
Candidates aspiring to join UP Police recruitment will need to register in a manner similar to the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). According to UPPRPB, a one-time registration system (OTR) will be introduced, making it easier for candidates to fill out the application form.
Overview of the Vacancies
UPPRPB has announced a total of 62,424 vacancies across various posts. These include 2,469 vacancies for Sub-Inspectors (SI) Civil, 52,699 for Constables, 2,430 for Radio Operators, 545 for Clerk Cadre, 927 for Computer Operators, 2,833 for Jail Wardens, and 521 for Sports Quota Civil Police.
Physical Test Requirements
To qualify for a job in the Uttar Pradesh Police, candidates will need to undergo a physical fitness test. Male candidates are required to complete a 4.8-kilometer run within 25 minutes, while female candidates must complete a 2.4-kilometer run within 14 minutes. For male candidates, the minimum height requirement is 168 cm, while reserved category male candidates must have a minimum height of 160 cm.
