The Uttar Pradesh (UP) Board has announced the postponement of the Class 10 and 12 improvement/compartment examinations. Instead of the previously scheduled date of July 15, both exams will now take place on July 22. This information was conveyed through a notification issued by Dibyakant Shukla, the secretary of the UP Board. The Board released a press statement stating that the previously announced release, dated June 22, for online applications for the high school improvement/compartment and intermediate compartment examinations for the year 2023, has been canceled due to unavoidable reasons. The revised schedule sets the new examination date as July 22.

The high school improvement or compartment exam will be conducted from 8 AM to 11.15 AM, while the intermediate students' exams will take place in the second shift, from 2 PM to 5.15 PM. A total of 44,669 students are registered to appear in the UP Board compartment/improvement examinations, including 18,400 students for the high school improvement exam and 26,269 students for the intermediate compartment exam. These exams will be held at 96 centers across the state.

The board accepted applications for the compartment/improvement examinations until June 7, 2023. Students are advised not to bring prohibited items, such as mobile phones, pagers, smartwatches, calculators, or any other electronic devices, to the exam centers. To ensure a secure environment, CCTV cameras and routers will be fully installed in the classrooms during the examination period. Candidates must arrive at the examination center at least 45 minutes before the start of the exam on the specified date. They can download their admit cards from the official website (www.upmsp.edu.in) or obtain a countersigned admit card from their school's principal. Class 10 students should report to the exam centers at 7:15 AM, while class 12 students are required to report at 1:15 PM.
