The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the December 2022 session of the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test, or UGC NET.
 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results for the December 2022 session of the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test, or UGC NET. The results are now available on the official UGC NET website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, and candidates can check their results by entering their login credentials, such as their roll number, application number, date of birth, and password.

The UGC NET December 2022 session was conducted by the NTA at 663 locations in 186 cities across India from February 21 to March 16. The final answer key, which was released on April 6, revealed that 85 questions from all UGC NET December session examinations were dropped.

To qualify for UGC-NET, candidates from the general category and reserved category must score a minimum of 40 per cent and 35 per cent marks, respectively. Candidates must also pass both papers 1 and 2 separately. In paper 1, unreserved category candidates must score 40 out of 100, while reserved category candidates must score 35 out of 100. In paper 2, candidates must obtain 70-75 marks out of 200 for the unreserved category, while the minimum marks for OBC and EWS candidates will be 65 to 70, 60 to 65 for SC, and 55 to 60 for ST.

To check their UGC NET December 2022 session results,

  • candidates should visit the official UGC NET website,
  • click on the result link option, enter their login credentials,
  • and the results will be displayed on the screen.
  • Candidates can then download the result for future use.

This year, approximately 8,34,537 students appeared for the UGC NET, which is used to fill assistant professor and junior research fellowship (JRF) positions in various colleges and institutions throughout India. Those who meet the requirements to become assistant professors are eligible to teach in numerous Indian universities and colleges. The UGC NET takes place twice a year, in June and December.
