UGC NET 2024: Key Guidelines and Exam Day Instructions Ahead of Tomorrow's Test

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the UGC NET June 2024 exam from August 21 to September 4, 2024. The exam will be held on the following dates:

 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the UGC NET June 2024 exam from August 21 to September 4, 2024. The exam will be held on the following dates:

  • August 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30
  • September 2, 3, and 4

Exam Shifts:

  • Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Shift 2: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Exam Structure:

  • Paper 1: 100 marks, 50 questions
  • Paper 2: 200 marks, 100 questions
  • Total Duration: 180 minutes for each shift

Important Guidelines:

  1. Arrival and Documentation:

    • Arrive at the exam centre well before the time mentioned on your admit card.
    • Carry your UGC NET admit card and a valid photo ID card.
  2. Seating and Paper:

    • Locate and sit in your assigned seat based on your roll number.
    • Ensure the question paper matches the subject indicated on your admit card. Inform the invigilator immediately if there is a discrepancy.
  3. Material and Conduct:

    • Do not write questions or answers on any material provided by the Centre Superintendent.
    • Bring one passport-size photograph (identical to the one uploaded on the application form) to paste on the attendance sheet.

  • Do’s:

    • Wear simple clothing without embroidery or pockets to avoid suspicion during security checks.
    • Use the provided sheet for calculations and rough work.
  • Don’ts:

    • Avoid bringing electronic devices, mobile phones, or smartwatches into the exam hall.
    • Refrain from engaging in any unfair practices.
