RAS 2013- Restriction by RPSC on 26 Culprits Involved in Paper leakage

Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) is the supreme civil service of the Indian state of Rajasthan. The recruitment to the service is made on the basis of an annual competitive examination. The officers are included in the state cadre of civil service officers. The RAS exam is organized by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), a Rajasthan government body. The RAS officers hold various posts at sub-district level while delivering various government services apart from conducting revenue administration and maintenance of law and order. Generally vacancies of the RAS are open once in two to three years. 3 level examinations are held:- Preliminary, Mains and Interview.

Rajasthan Public Service Commission put lifetime restriction to appear in government exams on the Offenders who leaked the paper of RAS Exam 2013. Total 34 people were arrested by Rajasthan Police from which 26 suspects were proved Culprit by SOG and Rest of other Suspect’s case is pending. RPSC had taken the decision that culprits will not be allowed to give examination for lifetime. And the other 8 suspects will not be allowed to appear in examination for next one year. RPSC had taken this decision on the basis of SOG report. It was found that mostly people involved in this case are from same family. This decision was taken on Thursday under the session of Commission’s President Lalit k Panwar. The RPSC Results 2013 (RAS Results 2012-2013) was not declared due to paper leak. RAS Examination to be held on 31st Oct 2015 again.
