The government of Rajasthan is set to announce a whopping 18,112 job vacancies in the health department, with 7,860 posts of nursing officers already up for recruitment. Aspiring candidates can apply for these positions on the official website of the Rajasthan Health Department- rajswasthya.nic.in. The number of available positions has increased threefold since the last announcement, with many more expected to open up this month.

To apply, candidates must first visit the official website of NHM, Rajasthan (https://rajswasthya.nic.in/) and fill out the application form, providing their basic details and required documents. An application fee must also be paid before downloading and saving the completed form for future reference. It is recommended that candidates read the recruitment notification published by NHM of the state to know about the eligibility criteria, selection process, and application fee required.

This recruitment drive will involve eight cadres instead of five, with significant increases in the number of vacancies for nursing officers, women health workers, pharmacists, assistant radiographers, and lab technicians. Additionally, three new cadres have been introduced - ECG technician, dental technician, and Ophthalmic assistant - with 116, 131, and 94 vacancies available, respectively.

The recruitment process also includes a bonus point system based on a candidate's experience. Candidates with one year of experience will receive 10 bonus marks, while those with two and three years of experience will receive 20 and 30 bonus marks, respectively. Candidates who have worked during the Covid pandemic will receive an exemption from the regular bonus point system and will be awarded 15 bonus marks for an experience of less than 2 years.
