PM Modi Unveils Sammakka Sarakka Central University in Telangana

In preparation for the upcoming assembly elections in Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made significant announcements during a government event in Mahbubnagar. Among the key announcements were the establishment of a central tribal university in Mulugu district and the formation of the National Turmeric Board in Nizamabad.

Among the key announcements were the establishment of a central tribal university in Mulugu district and the formation of the National Turmeric Board in Nizamabad.

Central Tribal University:
Prime Minister Modi unveiled plans for a central tribal university in Mulugu district, which will be named after tribal deities Sammakka and Sarakka. The institution, known as the Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University, will receive a funding allocation of ₹900 crore. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the people of Telangana for their support and love.

National Turmeric Board:

In another significant move, Prime Minister Modi announced the formation of the National Turmeric Board in Nizamabad, addressing the agricultural sector's needs and potential in the region.

Infrastructure Development Projects:
During the event, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation for various development projects valued at over ₹13,500 crore. These projects encompass multiple sectors, including transportation, petroleum, natural gas, and higher education.

Train Service Inauguration:
Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated a train service on the Hyderabad (Kacheguda) - Raichur - Hyderabad (Kacheguda) route from Krishna station via video conferencing. This railway service connects Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mahabubnagar, and Narayanpet districts in Telangana with Raichur district in Karnataka. The new rail link aims to provide essential connectivity to previously underserved areas in Mahbubnagar and Narayanpet districts. Its beneficiaries include students, daily commuters, workers, and the local handloom industry.

Prime Minister Modi's announcements and inaugurated projects are expected to have a significant impact on the development and infrastructure of the region, as well as its educational and agricultural sectors.
