The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently announced the examination date for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024. The NEET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to be held on May 5. NEET UG serves as the sole entrance test for candidates aspiring to pursue MBBS, BDS, and other allied courses across the country. While the NEET UG 2024 exam date has been declared, the registration deadline and the commencement of the NEET application form are yet to be notified by the NTA.

It is anticipated that the NTA will release the NEET UG 2024 application form this week, and undergraduate medical aspirants can apply online at neet.nta.ac.in once the registration portal is open. The registration date, along with the NEET UG 2024 exam pattern and syllabus, will be announced soon. Any changes in the NEET UG 2024 pattern will be communicated well in advance, allowing candidates sufficient time to prepare accordingly. The registration process for NEET UG 2024 will comprise four main steps: registration, application, image uploading, and payment.

NEET UG 2024: Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have completed 17 years of age by December 31, 2024, to be eligible for NEET 2024.
  • Students who have completed or are enrolled in 10+2 (Class 12) or its equivalent are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must have completed Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English at a recognized board.

Steps to Apply for NEET UG 2024

  1. Visit the official website at neet.nta.nic.in.
  2. Look for and click on the NEET UG 2024 application link on the homepage.
  3. Fill out the application form as instructed.
  4. Upload scanned images in the specified format.
  5. Pay the application fee through online mode.
  6. Review all details and submit the application form.

The NEET 2024 exam will be conducted offline, using pen and paper. Each year, over 20 lakh aspirants appear for the NEET UG exam for admission to various medical and allied courses. While the NTA administers the exam, NEET seats in India are allocated by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) through All India Quota counselling and by state-conducting bodies for state quota counselling sessions.
