Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said in Lok Sabha on Monday that no child was deprived of online education during the epidemic, as the government had taken several important steps in this direction.
In response to a supplementary question during the Question Hour in the lower house, Javadekar said that India has left many countries behind in providing online education.

He said that everything has gone online from 5-year-olds to university level. Javadekar said that the children of the underprivileged were reached through Mohalla schools. The minister said that at present there are 34 educational channels out of which 22 are at the level of higher education and 12 school education. So no child was deprived of online education in the epidemic.
