Key Highlights of NIRF Rankings 2023
- Overall Rankings: IIT Madras was ranked the top institution in the overall category.
- Top University: IISc Bengaluru achieved the highest rank among universities.
- Top in Agriculture: Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) secured the top position in agriculture and allied sectors.
- Best Management Institute: IIM Ahmedabad was recognized as the leading management institute.
- Top College: Miranda House was ranked as the best college for the fourth consecutive time.
Growth in Participation
In 2023, there was a notable increase in the number of participating institutions. A total of 8,686 institutes applied for the NIRF rankings, reflecting a 150% increase in applications since the framework's inception in 2015, according to Anil Kumar Nassa, NBA Member Secretary.
