New National Education Policy implemented considering requirements of modern and developed India: PM Modi

During a program for newly-inducted teachers in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the new National Education Policy has been implemented with the aim of meeting the requirements of a modern and developed India. He added that the policy emphasizes the holistic development of children, including knowledge, skills, culture, and the promotion of Indian values. Modi also praised the government's efforts in providing employment opportunities to the youth in Madhya Pradesh through organizing job fairs in different districts, leading to the recruitment of more than 22,400 youths for the position of teacher.

The Prime Minister expressed his delight that almost half of the newly-appointed teachers will be deputed in tribal areas, which will benefit the children in those regions. He also commended the Madhya Pradesh government's target of making over one lakh appointments in government posts this year, including 60,000 teachers, resulting in significant progress in the quality of education in the National Achievement Survey (NAS).

Modi highlighted the government's emphasis on skill development through the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana and the opening of skill development centers across the country. He also announced the opening of 30 Skill India International Centers this year, providing training to the youth through New Age Technology. The Prime Minister further appealed to newly-appointed teachers to approach their students with a mother's love, emphasizing that education shapes not only the present but also the future of the country. Modi concluded by stating that the values inculcated by teachers create a positive impact not only on the current generation but also on future generations.
