Delhi University (DU) has officially initiated the admission process for three newly introduced courses, welcoming aspiring students to pursue MA in Hindu Studies, Chinese Studies, and a PG Diploma in Cyber Security & Law. The application window is open until September 30, providing interested candidates with an opportunity to explore these innovative programs. Delhi University (DU) has officially initiated the admission process for three newly introduced courses, welcoming aspiring students to pursue MA in Hindu Studies, Chinese Studies, and a PG Diploma in Cyber Security & Law. The application window is open until September 30, providing interested candidates with an opportunity to explore these innovative programs. These courses are designed to blend traditional knowledge, contemporary subjects, and technical expertise to cater to modern job aspirations while fostering a deep understanding of their respective domains.

MA in Hindu Studies: Bridging Traditional Wisdom and Modern Expertise

The MA in Hindu Studies program offers 60 seats and aims to create a unique fusion of ancient wisdom related to Hindu philosophy and contemporary disciplines such as computer science, informatics, commerce, and political science. It equips students with proficiency in the Chinese language and acquaints them with cutting-edge cyber world techniques. The distribution of seats for this program is as follows:

  • Unreserved category: 24 seats
  • SC (Scheduled Caste): 9 seats
  • ST (Scheduled Tribe): 5 seats
  • OBC (Other Backward Classes): 16 seats
  • EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): 6 seats

Admission Fee:

  • For UR/OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST candidates: ₹8,960
  • For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): ₹2,240

Eligibility: Candidates holding a bachelor's degree in any field are eligible to apply.

MA in Chinese Studies: Exploring Chinese Language and Culture

The MA in Chinese Studies program is now open for admissions. To be eligible for this program, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Hold a Bachelor's degree from any recognized Indian or foreign university with at least 50 percent marks, along with a one-year (full-time) postgraduate Intensive Advanced Diploma Course in Chinese conducted by the University of Delhi or a UGC-recognized university.

OR

  1. Possess a Bachelor's degree in Chinese from any recognized Indian or foreign university with a minimum of 15 years of education, along with a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate or an equivalence course in Chinese.

The program offers a total of 49 seats, allocated as follows:

  • General category: 19 seats
  • SC (Scheduled Caste): 7 seats
  • ST (Scheduled Tribe): 4 seats
  • OBC (Other Backward Classes): 13 seats
  • EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): 6 seats

PG Diploma in Cyber Security & Law: Safeguarding the Digital Realm

Admission to the PG Diploma in Cyber Security & Law is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying degree examination. Graduates with backgrounds in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Software Development, Computer Engineering, or equivalent are eligible to apply. The program offers a total of 64 seats, with distribution as follows:

  • General category: 25
  • SC (Scheduled Caste): 10
  • OBC (Other Backward Classes): 5
  • EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): 17
  • EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): 7
