NEET Exam Rescheduled: IAF to Ensure Secure Paper Distribution
Preparation for NEET Re-Exam Intensifies
As the NEET exam is set to be conducted again, preparations are ramping up. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is making every effort to prevent any paper leaks and ensure a transparent examination process. To enhance security for the upcoming exam, the Indian Air Force (IAF) will be involved. Reports indicate that on June 21, the confidential question papers will be transported to examination centers across the country using IAF's Mi-17 helicopters and other military aircraft. This decision was made during a meeting held at the residence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Let’s delve deeper into the preparations for the NEET re-exam and the role of the IAF.
**Distribution from 18 Locations to Exam Centers**
According to sources, the IAF will deliver packets containing the confidential NEET re-exam question papers from 18 designated locations to the exam and distribution centers. This measure is being implemented to prevent any potential leaks or security breaches during the examination process.
**Quarantine for Paper Setters**
Stringent security measures have been established for the NEET re-exam papers. Following the paper leak controversy, the Ministry of Education and the NTA are closely monitoring every aspect to maintain the confidentiality of the exam. Experts, translators, and other staff involved in preparing the question papers have been relocated to secure and undisclosed locations. This arrangement will remain in effect until the conclusion of the exam on June 21. The use of mobile phones, internet, and other digital devices has been strictly prohibited.
**NEET Exam Canceled After Paper Leak**
Originally, the NEET-UG exam took place on May 3, with over 22 lakh candidates participating. However, on May 7, a sample paper that mirrored the actual exam questions was leaked online. Subsequent investigations confirmed that the NEET-UG paper had been compromised. Consequently, the Ministry of Education canceled the NEET-UG exam held on May 3. The re-exam is now scheduled for June 21, with over 22 lakh candidates expected to participate.
