This initiative involves the inclusion of mandatory time-bound sections in the question paper, where candidates must complete each section within the allotted time before proceeding to the next.

Key Details:

  • Purpose: Enhance exam security and integrity in response to emerging threats during the exam process.
  • Affected Exams: NEET PG, NEET MDS, and all forthcoming computer-based tests conducted by NBEMS.
  • New Pattern:
    • Question paper divided into multiple time-bound sections.
    • Candidates must complete each section within the allotted time.
    • Once completed, candidates cannot review or modify their answers for that section.
    • Option to mark questions for review within the given time frame.
  • Implementation: Effective from GPAT 2024, NEET-PG 2024, and subsequent exams.
  • Example: In NEET PG, if there are five sections (A, B, C, D, & E), each section will contain 40 questions with a designated time of 42 minutes allotted.

Quoted Notice: "Such mandatory time-bound sections will be implemented in GPAT 2024, NEET-PG 2024 and all forthcoming computer-based tests conducted by NBEMS. The scheme of examination mentioned in the information Bulletin of NEET-PG 2024/GPAT 2024 should therefore be read accordingly."
