National Education Policy: Union Education Minister Pradhan meets Dr. K. Kasturirangan, discusses reforms
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, met Padma Vibhushan Dr. K. Kasturirangan, chairman of the National Education Policy-2020 Forming Committee. The Union Education Minister tweeted, “Glad to meet Padma Vibhushan Dr. K. Kasturirangan, President, National Policy on Education, 2020.” His vision is rich on making India a vibrant knowledge society and an education system with aspirational goals of 21st century India as envisaged in the National Education Policy.
It is worth noting that on July 29, 2021, the new National Education Policy 2020 is going to complete one year. This meeting of the Union Education Minister on the eve of this is considered very important. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address through video conferencing on July 29, 2021, to mark the completion of one year of the new National Education Policy. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will also address the program. The timing of the program has been fixed at 4.30 pm.

Pradhan had tweeted on July 26, “National Education Policy – 2020 is a guiding philosophy to transform the learning landscape, make education holistic and build a strong foundation for a self-reliant India.” On July 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation on the completion of one year of reforms under the National Education Policy.
Let us tell you that the new National Education Policy (NEP) was released in 2020. Dr. K. Kasturirangan is the chairman of the committee that made it. Till then, teaching work was being done in the country according to the 1984 education policy. Therefore, the new education policy has been described as a policy of reforms. In this, many provisions have been made for the construction of self-reliant India. Under the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, many radical changes are being made in the country’s school education to college and university education structure. Under this, many big steps have been taken including the formation of the Higher Education Commission, the proposal to form the National Research Foundation.
