JNV 2025 Class 6 Admission: How to Apply and What You Need to Know

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) has officially opened the admission process for Class 6 for the academic year 2025. Students and their parents interested in applying can do so online through the official website Navodaya.gov.in and also on cbseitms.nic.in.

Application Process:

1. Online Application:

   • Visit the official websites mentioned above to access the application form.
   • Complete the application process online within the given timeframe.

2. Eligibility Criteria:

   • The candidate must have completed full-time studies in classes 3, 4, and 5 from a government, government-aided, or recognized school and passed each of these classes.
   • Students are allowed only one attempt at the Navodaya Vidyalaya entrance exam.

3. Reservation Policy:

   • Rural Quota: 75% of the seats are reserved for students from rural areas within the district.
   • Urban Quota: The remaining 25% of seats are filled based on merit from both urban and rural areas, following district reservation criteria.
   • Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes: Reservations are provided as per the district’s population, ensuring a minimum of 15% for SCs and 7.5% for STs, with a combined reservation not exceeding 50%.
   • Girls: One-third of the total seats are reserved for girls.

4. Residence Certificate:

   • Students must provide a residence certificate while submitting the application form.

5. Entrance Exam:

   • The admission is based on the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST).
   • Note: Students can only apply to the Navodaya Vidyalaya located in their district.

6. Documentation Required:

   • Complete educational records of classes 3, 4, and 5.
   • Residence certificate.
   • Additional documents as specified in the application process.
