The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has postponed the computer-based written tests (CBT) for various posts in response to ongoing protests by job aspirants. The protests stem from concerns over the hiring of a previously blacklisted company, APTECH Limited.

The written exams were originally scheduled to run from March 16 to April 5. In a tweet, the JKSSB stated that the CBT would be deferred until further notice. Protesters have welcomed the decision, but are also demanding that the contract with APTECH be immediately cancelled.

They are also calling for the removal of APTECH from conducting government recruitments, a technical investigation into exams conducted by the agency, and stronger laws against those involved in paper leak scams. Ghulam Nabi Azad, chairman of the Democratic Azad Party and former chief minister, has also expressed support for the JKSSB's decision and has pledged to continue fighting for the betterment and security of the youth.
