JKCET 2024 Counselling: Round 1 Schedule Announced on jkbopee.gov.in

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Examinations (JKBOPE) has announced the counselling schedule for admission into B.Tech and B.E. courses through the Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) 2024. Candidates who have qualified JKCET are required to participate in the counselling process to secure their admission.

Important Dates and Details

  • Counselling Round 1:

    • Date: June 30, 2024
    • Candidates: Ranks 1 to 500
    • Time: 8:30 am to 10 am
    • Location: BOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar
    • Procedure:
      • Registration, attendance, and other formalities are mandatory.
      • Payment of counselling fee: Rs 1,000 (POS machine available at BOPEE offices, payable via debit or credit cards).
      • Non-payment of counselling fee will disqualify the candidate from participating in counselling.
  • Documents Required:

    1. Class 12th mark sheet.
    2. Domicile certificate of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir or Ladakh.
    3. Category certificate, including TFW (if applicable).
    4. Date of birth certificate issued by J-K Board of School Education, Centre Board, or other boards.
  • Counselling Round 2:

    • Date: July 1, 2024
    • Candidates: Ranks 501 to 1,100
  • Counselling Round 3:

    • Date: July 2, 2024
    • Candidates: Ranks 1,101 to 1,662
  • Authorisation for Counselling:

    • Candidates unable to attend counselling personally can authorise a family member.
    • The authorised person must present an Authority Letter (format available at BOPEE offices) and valid ID proof on the counselling day corresponding to the candidate’s rank.

Important Notes

  • Candidates must physically report at the specified BOPEE offices during the designated time for each counselling round.
  • Failure to deposit the counselling fee will result in disqualification from the counselling process.
  • Non-joining of allotted college after counselling will render candidates ineligible for further rounds.
  • The seat matrix will be available on the Official Website before the commencement of counselling.
