The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is all set to kickstart the matriculation and intermediate examinations from February 6, marking the beginning of a crucial academic milestone for thousands of students across the state. With comprehensive preparations in place, the JAC anticipates the participation of a significant number of candidates in the upcoming exams. Here's a breakdown of essential details and updates regarding the JAC Board Exam 2024.

 

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is all set to kickstart the matriculation and intermediate examinations from February 6, marking the beginning of a crucial academic milestone for thousands of students across the state. With comprehensive preparations in place, the JAC anticipates the participation of a significant number of candidates in the upcoming exams. Here's a breakdown of essential details and updates regarding the JAC Board Exam 2024.

Key Highlights:

  1. Examination Schedule:
    The JAC Board Exam 2024 will span from February 6 to 26, adhering to the traditional pen and paper mode. Class 10th examinations are scheduled for the morning shift, from 9:45 am to 1:05 pm, while the JAC Intermediate Exam 2024 will take place in the afternoon shift, from 2 pm to 5:20 pm.

  2. Number of Candidates:
    A notable participation of 7,66,500 candidates is expected for the JAC Board Exam 2024. Of these, 4,21,678 students will appear for the matriculation examination, while 3,44,822 students will undertake the intermediate exam. The breakdown includes 94,433 candidates for intermediate science, 25,907 for commerce, and 2,24,502 for arts.

  3. Examination Format:
    Candidates will be required to report to their designated centers at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. The examination will encompass both OMR sheet-based and written mode formats, with multiple-choice questions and conventional written responses.

  4. Passing Criteria:
    To successfully clear the Jharkhand Board class 12 and 10 examinations 2024, students must secure a minimum of 33 per cent in each subject and maintain an overall passing percentage.

  5. Examination Centers:
    A robust security protocol will be enforced at the examination centers, with a total of 1978 centers established across the state. Class 10th exams will be administered at 1238 centers, while Class 12th exams will take place at 740 centers.

Previous Examination Overview: In the previous year, the JAC board exams were conducted from March 14, with the matriculation examination concluding on April 3 and the intermediate examination continuing until April 5. A total of 1950 centers facilitated the examination process, with approximately 4,34,000 students participating in the matriculation exam and 3,34,000 students undertaking the intermediate exam.
