India’s education policy is in line with global standards: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that the national education policy is not only in line with state-of-the-art and global standards, but as practical as it is, its implementation is equally practical. Addressing the 95th annual meeting of the Indian Universities Association and the National Conference of Vice Chancellors through video conference, the Prime Minister said that equal rights of citizens bring harmony in the society and the country progresses. He said, ‘Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan used to emphasize the Indian character of education. This becomes even more important in today’s global scenario. ‘

The Prime Minister said that every student has his / her own ability and when the teacher gives institutional capacity along with his / her internal capacity then their (students) development becomes widespread. This two-day program has been organized by Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University, Ahmedabad. It was also attended by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Governor Acharya Devvrat and Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. 

Youth can do whatever they want

Modi said, ‘With this our youth can do what they want to do. Therefore, the special emphasis of the country is on skill development. ‘ Paying tributes to the architect of the Constitution Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, the Prime Minister said that India has been the mother of democracy in the world and democracy has been a part of our civilization and ways.
