Overview of JEE Advanced 2026
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has announced crucial information regarding the JEE Advanced 2026 examination and registration process. This year, the exam is scheduled for May 17, 2026. Indian candidates can apply online from April 23 to May 2, while the registration for international candidates will commence on April 6, 2026. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the JEE Advanced 2026, candidates must pass Paper 1 of JEE Main 2026. Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates will qualify. Candidates must have completed their 12th-grade examination in 2025 or 2026, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. Additionally, candidates can attempt the JEE Advanced exam only twice, and these attempts must be made in consecutive years. Those who have already secured admission in any IIT are not eligible to take this exam.

The application fee for JEE Advanced 2026 varies by category. For Indian female candidates and those from SC, ST, and PwD categories, the fee is ₹1,600. General and OBC-NCL candidates are required to pay ₹3,200. For international candidates, the fee is set at US$100 for those from SAARC countries and US$200 for candidates from other nations.

Exam Schedule
The examination will take place on May 17, 2026, in two shifts:
