Employment News-In order to bring the government system of primary education in competition with the convent, the government is emphasizing on the improvement of Anganwadi centers. There is a plan to develop these as pre-primary schools, but this intention of the government is dying in the district. The condition of Anganwadi centers of the district, which is one of the most backward districts of the country, is bad. Not only this, out of 3471 Anganwadi centers in the district, only 800 centers have their own buildings. While the rest are operating in the base building and as such. Somewhere the ceiling is leaking and somewhere the floor is uprooted. In many villages the lock is not even open. In many villages of the district, Anganwadi centers are running in the buildings of council schools on the basis of loans, while there are many such villages, where children are being taught Kakhara under trees.

Health, education and nutrition are the main criteria on which NITI Aayog has selected the most backward districts in the country. Anganwadi centers have an important role in all three. Nutrition is monitored in pregnant and lactating women through the centres, while there is a provision to provide nutrition and pre-school education to children below the age of six years. For this, centers have been constructed in 429 gram panchayats of the district. Two to three mini centers are also operating in many villages.
