Educational institutions won’t face any dearth of funds: Bhagwant Mann

On the 62nd foundation day of the Punjabi University, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann highlighted the issue of financial indebtedness in educational institutions, calling it a social scourge.
 

On the 62nd foundation day of the Punjabi University, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann highlighted the issue of financial indebtedness in educational institutions, calling it a social scourge. He emphasized that no child in the state should be deprived of quality education due to lack of funds, and that his government is committed to providing maximum support to educational institutions to raise the standard of education.

Mann pledged to free the university from debt burden to restore its pride and glory, and announced a grant of Rs 30 crore per month to the university in this year's budget. He expressed hope that the university will achieve great success in the field of higher education after coming out of financial constraints. Mann also praised the Punjabi University for playing a vanguard role for the youths of the state and inspiring him to follow new ways and ideas in his life.

He further stated that the state government was making great efforts to promote and disseminate the Punjabi language.
